BaseCamp won't transfer a map that was previously on my Oregon 650T

I was working on some route planning on BaseCamp and Google Earth last night, but couldn't figure out how to turn off a custom map I had made. It was already on the device and figured if I copied the map to my collection (locally in BaseCamp), I could work with the normal maps and retransfer the custom map when I was done. Now BaseCamp is giving me an error saying the maximum resolution per image is 1 megapixel. If the map was on there yesterday, using that custom map in the woods in the morning, I don't understand why I can't reload it. Also can't figure out how to modify the image to fix the resolution.

To create the custom map, I grabbed a screen shot of the PDF map, converted that to a JPEG in Paint, used Google Earth to overlay that JPEG on the map, saved it as either a KMZ or KML (don't remember, first time I made a custom map and just followed a tutorial online), and then added to the device through BaseCamp. I did that on a different computer than the one I'm working on now.

Any ideas how to make it work, edit the file, or do I need to start over? Any thoughts on why it worked previously but won't reload?

I'm slightly confused.

If you copied it to BaseCamp isn't it still on your device? If so there shouldn't be an issue.

Or did you move it from your device?

Either way I've moved/copied custom maps without issue to my two handheld GPS so not sure why you're having a problem.

After copying it to BaseCamp, I deleted it from my device. I'm new to BaseCamp, I couldn't figure out how to turn off or hide the custom map. It's no longer on my device and can't figure out why it transferred without issue on Monday, but now it won't go back over because of a resolution issue.

How are you trying to send it back to your device?

In future you can turn off a custom map by selecting hide overlay in the drop down box that you should see bottom left on the BC map page.

I've tried right clicking on the map file in my collections and send to device, I tried highlighting and then send my collection. It gives me the error notification bar above the map no matter what.

Recreated the map, and just drag/drop or copy/paste into the custom maps folder using the file explorer. Didn't even use BaseCamp. Confirmed it's back on the GPS. Couldn't do that before because I couldn't find the file. All good now.
