How to print a map with the label beside each waypoint

Dear all

I'm on Basecamp 4.6.2 and trying to print a map including my waypoints but with the labels beside them. At the moment I can only get the symbol even though I have set the display property for each waypoint to 'symbol + name'. Have I missed a setting somewhere or is it just not possible?

    Don't believe it's possible from within BaseCamp, the display option is just to choose what to display on your PC screen. Simplest way would be to use the Windows snipping tool to capture the map, then print from there.

    Works for me?

    Basecamp has always printed for me with symbols and names. I wish there was an easier way to turn that off. There is for waypoints, but not for geocaches. I don't know what I'm doing differently than the OP or SUSSAMB, but whatever shows on my screen is how it prints.


    It can actually be annoying if I print a zoomed out view of an area with a lot of waypoints or geocaches.

    Interesting. Which BC version is that?


    I'm currently on 4.6.2, but Basecamp has always worked this way for me. I often print maps, and a zoomed out map with lots of waypoints and geocaches gets horribly covered with all the labels. I wish there was an option in the print setup screen to globally turn that on and off as desired, instead of selecting geocaches one by one. One of the workarounds I have used is to set the font size to 2 in the Display preferences, and then after I print a map, set it back again. It makes the text really tiny so it's not so intrusive when there are a lot of labels. :D I can't imagine what would account for it to work differently for someone else. I don't think it's a printer driver issue because I have used several different printers with the same results. Most puzzling....

    Having just checked I too am now seeing that behaviour. I only print infrequently but am sure in the past labels weren't printed, or if they were I missed it, hence my initial comment.

    The question now is why the OP isn't able to get labels to print??
