How do I change the GPX files back to their default program association? I am having issues with my Garmin Montana which is being caused by a corrupt GPX file. So, I went into the GPX file and changed it to open with Notepad so I could review the GPX information - - now the GPS unit will not open the GPX file because it is associated with Notepad and not a GPX file, even though the file extension is .gpx (the icon and program are Notepad). Attempting to change it back to the default causes Windows 8.1 to associate the GPX file with a program on my computer. All my waypoints show up fine using BaseCamp but nothing using my GPS unit - it appears that the icon and program association must be changed in Windows 8.1. Restoring the backup files on BaseCamp does nothing to correct the files association.
