I Don't Receive Email Notification of a Reply

Even though I subscribe to a thread and request instant email notification if there is a reply/change, I never receive any such notification.

It may be because I have not given my email address, and I don't see how to do this in My Profile.

Help/guidance appreciated.......
  • Garmin uses the email address you used to register on the forum. It doesn't need to be public on the forum. I'd check your spam/junk filter to make sure you're not blocking garmin.com domain.

    Phil, thanks for your response. I checked and I am not blocking garmin.com domain. And I have registered with Garmin.....did so about a month ago when I bought my nuvi 2789. Any other suggestions?
  • Check that you have your subscriptions setup correctly. I setup this thread as a test and it is working.

    Phil, I checked the Instant box on all 4 of my threads, but there was no 'Save' button to click so I'm not sure the setting was saved. I guess I will just have to await another reply to see if I receive an email notification.

    In the interim, if you don't mind sending me an PM showing what you see as my email address, I would appreciate it.

    Phil, the email address shown in your PM was correct. I tried to send you a PM reply, but it never appeared in my Sent box so I'm not sure you received it. I'm really beginning to think that BaseCamp doesn't like me, lol.

    Still no joy in Mudville tonight. My Sent box still shows empty, and I did not get an email notification of this latest email that you sent. Strange, happenings, just like in BaseCamp, lol.
  • Since this is now a test thread, here's a test to see if you get notified this time.

    You were not clear if you checked the spam/junk folder on your email website. Specifically not the email app on your computer but using your browser to log into your email website and check the spam/junk folder there to see if the Garmin notifications are being caught before they even get to your computer.

    Ken, I did not get notified this time regarding your message.

    I did check the spam/junk folder on my email website and there were no Garmin notifications. Also, as mentioned in an above posting, when Phil send me a PM to verify my email address, I sent him a reply stating that the address was correct. He said he received my reply, but it never showed up in my Sent box.

    At last count, I belong to 8 different forums, and this is the only one I have any problem with. Personally, I'm not sure that my subscriptions are being setup correctly.
