I have few routes I have in google maps that I'd like to import to basecamp. I was able to import them, but in basecamp, it puts all the waypoints in alphanumerical order (which makes for a crazy fabric of a map!) rather than the order they were in in google maps. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
Most 3th party apps do only tracks and no routes. Nuvi cannot use tracks.
This is extensive explanation: https://youtu.be/r7URNEgmLko using gpsvisualiser website and the process afterwards in BaseCamp to convert the track to a route.
Another option is to recreate your routes using this website: https://www.myrouteapp.com/en made by and for Motorcyclists and very usable for car and mobile home users.
Point(s) taken. Upon further review of another thread by OP, it seems that the OP does have a Nuvi with Trip Planner and knows how to import into it. So it would seem that those of us who experienced alpha numeric route point scrambling and inline Route Stop thinning upon first use of Basecamp should keep working within Basecamp to learn how to work around this issue.
