Struggling with Basecamp

For some reason Basecamp has started to not include any waypoints or turns when it calculates routes. Even my old trips now show only the start and end points. The map displays only a straight line from start to finish.
I have checked all the options but none appear to be incorrect.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

What map and activity type are you using?

The only map it shows is Global Map. The activity profile is "driving".

The global map is not routable. You need to download a routable map or connect your GPS devise to use the map on it.

You have to download the City Navigator North America NT2017.2 onto your computer. Otherwise, you have to keep your Garmin connected to use the map.
Sorry. I don't remember where I got the instructions on how to download the map to computer. But the instructions are found via this forum.
Somebody else, help?

Using Garmin Express, with your device connected, you can download the maps to your computer. After that, you won't need the device connected to view the detailed maps.

Alternatively to downloading the map, If you connect your GPS to the PC and open Basecamp, Basecamp should inherit the map on the GPS and it will show up in the list of available maps.....but only as long as the GPS is connected.
I think there is a way also to upload the map from the GPS to Basecamp. Ive done but dont have Basecamp in front on this PC, so if you tinker a bit maybe youll see how.

Thanks everyone

Thanks all. I was able to update the maps on my RV760LM and this time Garmin Express said a new map was available. I was able to transfer it to my PC and it looks like I'm good to go.
