Just bought a nuvi 2589. Having trouble loading gpx files onto it. ANyone? I can open the nuvi in windows explore. See the gpx folder. Drag my gpx file into it. It then is visible in the gpx folder thru windows explorer, but when I disconnect , go to trip planner, there is nothing there. I waited a few minutes and nothing loaded, either. Any help appreciated.

Also, one the link Ken posted, there are conflicting responses. One response says nothing happens while the nuvi is automatically importing the route, just to be patient until it loads (which is a bit odd and unintuitive) the other poster alluded sometype of 'working icon/wheel; etc appeared until the maps imported.

Having looked at that site you mention motorcycle sites often produce a gpx file containing a track rather than a route, and your nuvi cannot read tracks. I've just checked and it is indeed a track that your nuvi cannot read. What you could do is import it into BaseCamp, then convert it to a route and then send it to your nuvi.
