I'm new to BC. I created a 243 mile route with 520 points. Let's call it route X. Took me many hours. I know, cry me a river. :p Anyway, at the time I wasn't ready to transfer route X to the zumo. For unrelated reasons I needed to reload Windows from scratch so before wiping out Windows I backed up C:\User\profile\AppData\Roaming\Garmin Next, I installed Windows then Basecamp v4.4.6 then I ran Garmin Express to update my maps on the PC and Zumo. Upon starting BC route X was absent as well as everything else I had created. Because route X was so difficult to create I did not want to re-create it so I went to this location of my backup C:\Users\profile\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\BaseCamp\Database\4.4 and restored only files AllData.gdb and FolderData.gfi. This caused route X and everything else I wanted to reappear in BC. Next I transferred route X to the Zumo internal storage. Route X transferred but BC produced the following message on a yellow row between the map and the menu. The message reads: "Route(s) sent to zumo 590 were recalculated because they was created on a map that is not installed on that device." I turned on my zumo to import the route and route X appeared and prompted me to import. I performed the import but the import promptly quit and displayed the message "route X cannot be saved." I used Garmin Express to attempt to get both the computer map and zumo map to the same version and I think I succeeded, but I'm still getting the error in the yellow bar immediately adjacent and parallel to the menu. I guess this error has to do with the contents of AllData.gdb and FolderData.gfi I exported route X as a .gpx then replaced AllData.gdb and FolderData.gfi with a vanilla copy then imported route X then sent route X to the zumo but with the same error message.
Any ideas how I can get route X from its .gpx state back into BC and successfully transfer to zumo and open in Zumo?
