I hope the developers sweep these posts for improvements on subsequent releases.
The POI tool is great to find items of interest in an area to investigate and adventure out to.........however, the quantity of POIs and the search algorthm for POIs is weak. I often have to suppliment Basement with other tools such as Google maps to find a POIs, then copy its GPS coordinate and enter those into Basecamp to include on a route.
For instance searches for geographical locations such as Lake Tahoe or Lake Dallas reveal nothing, only businesses or city centers with the same name. A known Dairy Queen present since the dawn of time does not appear during a "Dairy Queen" search.
I would be fantastic if Garmin would enhance the POIs quantity, quality and search accuracy especially to assist in the planning of route adventures.
