Basecamp Issues

Hi,

I have Basecamp on my macbook pro and I have a Garmin edge 800.

I have not used Basecamp before, every time I try to view my discover maps which is on an sd card on the edge 800, basecamp crashes !!

All I want to do is plan routes and upload to my edge 800 device. But its slow and tedious and nearly always crashes ?

Where would I find a good guide or a better route planning program online ?

Are you using the latest BaseCamp version? If not uninstall your current one and do a fresh install of the latest version.

If you are then again uninstall then do a reinstall.

Hello Keith,

Also....I found removing the map SD card from my Edge705 and putting it in a usb card reader allowed BaseCamp to work much faster.
Running your map thru the 800 might be part of the problem??

Thanks for advice !!

I'm using version 4.6.3 which Im pretty sure is the latest.. I will try re-install

I will definitely try the sd card reader this will hopefully improve my planning !
