I have Basecamp 4.6.2 running on a W7 PC. I'd like to create a route over water. I can load a 24k topo map from my Oregon 600, but I can't seem to load the Garmin nautical chart of the east and west coast. Sometimes it tries to load for just a fraction of a second and then the data section doesn't show any chart in the memory chip. Sometimes it tries to load for a minute or more, and then fails without any chart showing in the data section of the window. I've tried different sequences of launching Basecamp, plugging in the device, etc., to no avail, so I've concluded that Basecamp isn't designed for working with nautical charts.
I had the same experience with baseCamp - after the updates the nautical features disappeared. I use homePort too, but I can't create a list, so now I am stuck. any advise?
