mapinstall selects only 1 map

Mapinstall will only select 1 of the maps (Backroads) available to segment and send to device. Mapinstall will not select the other map (Garmin Canada Topo V4)

MapInstall may not select a map if the device isn't capable of using it, perhaps that's your issue?
