BaseCamp shows wrong map

I have installed Basecamp 4.6.2. Connected my 2455LM GPS, it is detected and basecamp shows the device and the installed map - City Navigator 2017.2. I have selected the device map, it shows as checked under the Maps menu. BUT the map displayed on the screen is NOT the latest map!!! How do I know? I-69 in southern Indiana was opened in 2012, it shows on my GPS device, but does not exist on the map displayed in basecamp! Therefore, as it is now, basecamp is useless...
What is the hidden magic to get basecamp to display the map present in the connected device???

attached screen shot (capture.jpg) shows I-164 which ceased to exist 4 years ago.
attached screen shot (untitled.png) shows that the map is selected in basecamp.

    That's very strange. Looking at my map in BaseCamp it definitely shows I69 :confused:

    Is the map installed on your PC? What happens if you view the map on your device in BaseCamp?

    Provide a full screenshot of Basecamp. I suspect you have the settings wrong.

    Thanks, "is the map installed on your PC?" - is there something that needs to be done beyond connecting the 2455lm and selecting the map in the Devices tree?

    Well you can use Express to install the map to your PC.

    However I see I-69 both on the map on my device, the map installed in BC, and the map on my device when viewed in BC.

    Ah, ha! that's the piece of the puzzle that's missing...
    will advise if that does the trick.

    sure would be nice if that tidbit of knowledge was in the basecamp tutorial.

    Update - Installed map to Computer (under Map Options in Garmin Express) and now Basecamp shows 2 City Navigator North America 2017.2 maps. One (nuvi) and one (installed). If I select the Nuvi map, it does not show I-69. but the installed map does show I-69. Selecting the (nuvi) map still shows the global base map roads but with more , not the actual map from the device. Looks like a flaw in Basecamp to me.

    Okay this is really a kicker - the highways shown CHANGE when you zoom in or out (and have selected the Nuvi map)!! With the ruler showing 10 Mi - I-164 is shown, zoom into ruler showing 7 Mi - I-69 is shown!

    In my book, definitely a bug. I wasted a lot of time farting around with basecamp due to this defect!

    It's a map error on your device, not a bug in BaseCamp. Using the map 2017.20 installed in BaseCamp or on my device I always get I-69 at whatever zoom level, and even if I zoom out until it doesn't show hovering the cursor come up with I-69. I can only get I-164 to show if I use the older 2017.10 map. BaseCamp can only display what's on whichever map it's using.

    Now why your 2017.20 map is different to mine I have no idea!
