I have a Garmin 450 and have BaseCamp installed on my Laptop.
In Basecamp on the PC, there is a DROPDOWN menu containing 3 different maps:
1. WorldwideAutoroute Demo Basecamp NR
2. GlobalMap Both these first 2 show that they are NOT LOCKED
3. another map product for my home Province that Ive purchased and the SD minicard is in there now. That function works fine.
I have received a .GPX track for a neighboring Province (Alberta)
I CAN and did put that (first) 'out of area' file into BaseCamp (on the PC) and if I select Global Map or WorldwideAutoMap from the DROPDOWN, I can view and run the track on the screen on either MAP.
I can also load it into the 450 and "see it" on the screen.
Problem arises where I load the .GPX file to my GARMIN OREGON and bring it up on the screen BUT..
I can't figure out HOW TO OPEN (Install) those TWO map Versions into the 450...work fine in Basecamp on PC..can't get the 2 maps into the 450.
So in the end, the Alberta track shows on the 450 screen but there is no accompanying MAP function..the track is just a PINK LINE on a BLANK page.
I thought the 450 came with these maps preloaded..I can SEE ALBERTA in both map formats (PC) but not on the 450.
How do I get the 2 MAPS data into the 450? Help please..
