I've sent 2 routes to my Oregon 650. Using the device and selecting "Whereto" & "Route" both routes are shown. When selected, one route opens up with map and Green "Go" button as expected. The other does not open at all. If I go to "Route Planner" I can select the problem route, then "View Map" and the map and green "Go" button shows OK. I've tried deleting and saving again but this does not fix this anomaly. Any ideas why this happens?
I suspect it has something to do with the gpx files, is one route particularly long or complicated or with many via points? What sort of routes are they, direct, walking ???
Thanks for your quick reply. Both routes were very similar and "Direct" for walking about 10 miles (& 119 points).
The GPX file looks fine when imported and as I stated, can be followed on the Oregon but has to be started via "Route Planner" and not "Whereto".
I've now rebuilt the route so no problem now, but I was just curious as to why this minor glitch had occurred (this has happened before).
For information (if you wish to investigate further), I've attached a "Problem" and "No Problem" GPX file for very similar routes.
Thanks
Both routes loaded into BaseCamp and into my GPS with no issues, and worked when I did a Where to, Routes, Go so I'm not seeing what you're seeing. Must be a device issue. Have you tried a master rest?
(nice routes by the way, I may use them one day :))
Many thanks for checking out. I will try the device reset.
You're very welcome to try my route. Nice choice of pubs and an excellent variety of sights to see. Note that it includes the West Itchenor foot ferry which does not operate in the winter.
