Route changes transferring from computer to RV760

I am in S. Utah and some of the roads are not great for a 40' motorhome towing a pickup truck. I set up the route the way I wanted to go using stops.
When transferred to the 760 the route changes completely except for start/end. Not sure how to get the rte I want into the 760. Using Basecamp ver. 4.6.2.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'll check to see if both BC & 760 are set up the same. When I set the rte up I think I used waypoints. I used the 'new route' emblem and set the points to the way I wanted to go. But 760 changed it. I saw a suggestion to change the 'calculation mode from 'faster time' but the only other options are 'shorter distance', less fuel & 'off road'. None of those makes sense to me for changing.
We are in Utah (Bryce Canyon) and the elevation is very hard on my breathing (Agent Orange) and I want to get to lower elevations by interstates rather than backroads that the 760 shows me. With using interstates the height & width restrictions shouldn't affect me.
    Thanks again for your reply,

I did configure the route in BC with waypoints but the RV760 changes the route on me.

"The first thing someone usually tells you is to make sure your basecamp profile and the device profile is the same."

I've set the device profile but can't find anyplace to set up a profile in BC. I've click on everything I can find to click on.

    Many thanks

  • If you don't have the drop down box in your toolbar go to View, Toolbars and select Activity profiles.

Now you can select them. Adjust routing and avoidance settings in whichever profile you select to best match those on your device.

Went to 'activity profiles' in BC and now it's set up. Sure didn't know that was there! Turned on the GPS and when selecting the route instead of selecting my destination, I selected the waypoint they had in there. Now I have the route I want. Is that how I should always be doing it on longer trips? And when I get to that waypoint do I have to reset the GPS to 'final destination'? Or will it continue on?
Sure is a heck of a learning curve on this unit!!!!!

    Thank you very much,
