Zumo 590 maps not visible in basecamp ??

Hello,

I bought a Zumo 590LM. I downloaded and installed the latest garmin express and basecamp on my computer. when I connect the zumo 590 via USB, I see the device and the SD card in basecamp. but the maps that I want to use are not visible. I checked it on another computer, it is the same again.
am I missing something? any help is appreciated..
  • Which map is it? Is it the CN map? Is it on a card or the device.

    Note the first time you connect a device with a new map it can take a while to see it as BaseCamp needs to 'index' the map, when it's doing so you should see the map listed in the left hand pane with a green bar moving underneath it. Until that completes you won't be able to see the map.
