Turning Off Snap to Trail Setting

I'm trying to create a route that follows a man-made trail and then goes off-trail. Basecamp ignores the route I'm trying to draw and connects my waypoints using the man-made trail, even though this greatly increases distance. How can I draw a map without it snapping to established trails?

Thanks

Iain
  • Well that's a view you hold, not necessarily what everyone would want. Personally I prefer it the way it is.
  • I have the route which consists of 40 points. I found that for the one part of the route I want to change the profile for direct. I open the whole route, I have to find one point from 40, which I already did on the map. Then I change the property of the point. I return back to route and it's clear that I should change the property of the next point as well. So again - find the point, change property.

I don't see it as user-friendly but I can be wrong. But I really thank to hamerskype, his shortcut is something which helps in many cases I was desperate before.
  • i am 6 years late , but thanks that solved the issue / qestion i was having.

Hamerskype your CTRL solved my routing issue =D
