Feature Request and Bug Report

I'm in the process of switching over to BaseCamp following Microsoft's abandonment of Streets & Trips, so I'm an old hand with mapping and trip-planning software but a relative BaseCamp newbie. With that in mind:

Streets and trips keeps track of the screen display, such that pressing {Alt+Left Arrow} and {Alt+Right Arrow} allows the user to navigate back and forth through the chain of recent screen positions and zoom levels. This is exactly analogous to the Back and Forward navigation functions in a web browser. Is there some Basecamp keyboard shortcut for this, which I haven't been able to find in the documentation or by trial and error?

While BaseCamp's design is in most ways much cleverer than Streets & Trips', the older product was more flexible in its map-printing options, allowing, for example, the display of just name, name and address, or other information for individual points and sets of points, and also had a simple built-in drawing module for adding text annotation, lines, arrows, boxes, highlights, and the like. BaseCamp, from what I can see, doesn't offer these features; in fact, even address information is placed in the Notes tab only for Yelp-derived waypoints, but not those derived from POIs built into the Garmin database.

Finally, there's a class of POIs whose display cannot be suppressed. This can be illustrated by picking a downtown area, zooming in, setting the map detail level to Highest (though this isn't always required), and creating an Activity Profile that displays NO features (Areas/Lines/Points) at all. You'll still see a variety of POIs--mostly things like barber shops and hair salons--cluttering up the map display.

The same issue may be illustrated in a different way by clicking Find > Find Points of Interest > All Points of Interest. None of these barber shops and hair salons appear in the search list (though of course they remain displayed on the map). If you type "hair," "barber," or "salon" into the search box with "All Points of Interest" selected, they will appear in the search list; however, they will not appear in the search list with any of the other POI selections (Attractions, Auto Services, etc.). They are POIs without a home.

Enough for now. I've enjoyed my BaseCamp learning experience thus far, but there are a few things that might stand improvement.

Garmin just wants to be certain that BaseCamp users have no excuses for not looking good while using a Garmin product. :D
