Issues Sending Basecamp Routes to Montana 610

First time posting but I've been scouring the Forums for input for weeks. Here goes. (I'm using Basecamp 4.6.2 and the Montana 610 is running software version 2.40.)

I'm having 4 issues:
1) When sending a route to the Montana there are times where then entire route doesn't come through. I have a route of 70 km and a few dozen Via/Waypoints. Sometimes I send the route and it looks ok when I review the route on the device through Basecamp, but when I eject the device it only has 40km on route on it. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries to get the whole route on there, which is very time consuming when I'm ejecting, checking, reconnecting, deleting the route, ejecting to complete deletion, reconnecting, and starting the send again. Are there any limitations on the number of points in a route that can be sent to the device? I have some very long routes with 300+ waypoints in them I need to load up.

2) Occasionally when reviewing the route on the Montana there will be a single waypoint in my route that will end up between 2000km and 4500km away. it's a random spot like the middle of the South Pole or the Atlantic ocean. Usually if I do a resend it's fine but it's another annoyance.

3) When I get the route on the device the viapoints/waypoints seem to double up and the "Waypoint" symbol turns into a Blue Flag. I've managed to cheat by adding a custom symbol on the device overwriting "Flag, Blue" which is basically a copy of the waypoint symbol, but there are still double symbols on the device. Is there a way to clean this up?

4) In Basecamp my routes are exactly how I want them. I usually edit the GPX files in Notepad so most Waypoint DisplayMode are set to "SymbolOnly" but about 5% of them have "SymbolAndName". Looks perfect on my computer. Once sent to the device all the symbol names show up. Is there a workaround for this? It's very cluttered

Any help would be much appreciated.:D
