New member and I'm not sure where to post this as there isn't dedicated sub-section for vehicle navigation...
I have ancient Streetpilot 7200 that has all the usual avoidance options and also "prefer highways" option and this was extremely useful in Los Angeles and in other major cities where secondary roads were infested with traffic lights and whatnot.
Since Streepilot was discontinue I haven't seen "prefer highways" option anymore and now after I drove by Kansas and saw how their worst traffic jam is the usual rush hour in LA, I understood why Kansans don't get the "prefer highways" option. Heck they don't even have enough highways to go around the KC to understand the benefit of traffic flow versus stop-n-go traffic lights.
End of the rant.
Changing the speeds doesn't help and I have the latest softwares on BMW Motorrad IV (with lifetime maps and updated unit sw).
