Is it possible to embed a particular waypoint display symbol into a .gpx or .kml file so it is consistently displayed across different softwares and devices?
For example, if I make a custom symbol for my home in Tokyo, and another custom symbol for the places I pitch up my tent in central Australia, then I would like those exact symbols to be displayed on my GPS devices, Android, Google Earth, BaseCamp, etc., etc. Now, with a few exceptions, it typically defaults to the software or device's default symbol for waypoints.
