Deleting waypoints from Garmin NAV5 through BaseCamp

I've made many waypoints on my Garmin NAV V GPS unit and I can see them in the internal memory on BaseCamp but unable to delete them inside the program. It's too many to delete one-by-one on the unit. Is this possible? I can delete the waypoints if it's stored in my SD card through BaseCamp but not internal memory.

Afraid you have to delete them on the GPS itself. It's a limitation of the device, and is the same for the nuvi and Zumo models.

If too many on your unit, copy them all into BaseCamp then clear all off your device and then send back the ones you want.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I was hoping there would be a way but I'm more glad to know it wasn't me who couldn't figure out how to delete the waypoints from the internal memory. Hopefully Garmin pushes another update that will address this.

They can't. It's the way these devices work.
