Basecamp crashes on Windows 10

I recently upgraded my Windows 7 Pro OS on my laptop to Windows 10 Pro. Today I tried to use Basecamp and it fails with "Loadlibrary failed with error 1114". I tried reinstalling (version 452) but get the same error. I have a copy of the full error message but don't see how to attach it to this message. Maybe it is now an attachment???

I have tried deleting the userconfig file with no effect.

Any ideas as to what is going on? Thanks...RDK

I guess you simply updated your OS?

Try uninstalling BaseCamp then do a clean install.

Yes, it was an upgrade of the OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10. If I do an uninstall of Basecamp, will it also delete my library of tracks and maps?

No, they'll remain and be picked up again by the fresh install.

I uninstalled and rebooted. Re-installed and rebooted. Still get the same error. Any other ideas? ...RDK

OK, it is a VERY short thread and here is the working entry:

Check to see if you have a switchable graphics card and a Switchable Graphics Application Settings tool. If so, BaseCamp is probably set to Not Assigned under Recent Applications. Other users have been able to change the setting to High Performance and BaseCamp opens correctly.

In my case my laptop has both Intel and AMD graphics chips. So I opened up the AMD Catalyst Control Center and added Basecamp to the list with High Performance setting. Voila, it now works...RDK
