Basecamp and dimensions of the Vehicle

Hi,

question.

There are some Garmin GPS where you can enter the dimensions of the Vehicle, like the Dezle or the 760-LMT.

How does BaseCamp cope with this, or let me rephrase that, is there a way to make a route in BaseCamp in which you can tell BaseCamp to avoid bridges like for example lower then 3 meters because your vehicle is 3.05m ?

BaseCamp does support this. If you connect a compatible device (such as a dezl or RV), BaseCamp will add additional routing configuration items that you can configure. Once you have connected the device once, the options will remain in BaseCamp (so you can plan routes without having the device connected).

Another question if I may, Is there a way to add these options if you don't have the device (yet) ?

I want to buy one but where I live (Asia) they are not for sale, but I will buy one when I go to Europe, and already want to start make routes for it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but No One I know or even asked (Local Forum) has such a device (most of my friends even don't use GPS but paper maps), and last but not least they aren't even for sale here.

The reason why I ask was, maybe there is a registry hack :cool: the developers know about ?
