How to install Basecamp on Windows 10?

I find a lot of closely related threads, but they all seem related to upgrading in a Windows 10 environment.
I'm new to Basecamp and new to Windows 10.

When I try to install Basecamp latest version it will not install as there is no "Windows Media Player".
Then I try to find a Windows Media Player for Windows 10 and there is none.
Then I try to download and install the latest Windows Media Player intended for anther OS but it aborts telling me that this version is not intended for my OS

So I'm truly stuck!

Will there be a BaseCamp version, maybe with limited functionality, that will suffice without Windows Media Player?

Not sure what the problem is, i run Windows 10 on my girls laptop and have the latest version (4.5.2) of Basecamp running the laptop.

Did u run all windows 10 updates?

I believe Windows 10 does not come with Media Player any longer. If BaseCamp requires Media Player, it will have to be updated to run without it.

European version - no Windows Media Player

Found the answer in another thread (as always just after that I had posted my question):

This KB has to be installed on European and Korean Windows 10 (N and KN).
Haven't tried it myself yet but will do soon.

Now it works!

Strange that Microsoft lists the Media pack as a KB instead for speaking out loud that it was the Media Player for Windows 10.
