Unintended Basecamp removal

Since Garmin killed off the Maps sub-forum I guess I'll post this here.

For the love of all the pandas why does Garmin insist on removing Basecamp when you uninstall an older CNNT map? Do they not understand these are two different products? If I want to uninstall Basecamp I'm OK with doing it by myself.

How are you removing the maps? Basecamp isn't uninstalled when I do it via Control Panel.

I'm uninstalling via the Windows 10 (also on Win 7) control panel "Uninstall or Change a Program". Maybe they wised up and changed for the 2016.1 & 016.2 maps but all the 2015 maps will also uninstall Basecamp. Just removed the last 2015 map and that's what caused my complaint. Maybe it's just a CNNT North America map issue.

I remember reading somewhere in the forums about a problem with the uninstaller for one of the previous CN NA maps (2015.10 maybe? ... don't remember for sure) that would remove BaseCamp when the map was uninstalled. This was fixed in later map versions.

Yeah, I had just removed 2015.1 when this happened to me, I hope this is the case.
