Transferring a Route from Basecamp to Connect

I use Basecamp for creating routes and want to them to appear in Connect, preferably as a Course.
I am hoping for a more integrated approach than simply exporting and importing GPX files, so any advice would be most welcome.

I believe the Mac version has the capability in the Send to ... option but I can't find an equivalent.

Send To Device

'Send to Device' is listed under the 'Device' menu. There is also a 'Device Transfer' toolbar you can turn on from the View menu.

The Send to Device only offers options to transfer to a connected device, it isn't offering an option to send to Garmin Connect. Do I have to enable the functionality somehow?

The Mac version can send tracks to Connect, not routes. Also, tracks must contain time stamps in order to successfully transfer them to Connect.

The nuvi660 does not support transfer of routes from Basecamp after a transfer you may find on the favorites the last position of your Basecamp trip ! This is irrelevant of Mac or PC

Mac VS Windows version

The Mac version can send tracks to Connect, not routes. Also, tracks must contain time stamps in order to successfully transfer them to Connect.

Why is there no such possibility in Windows version? It would be very convenient to have it there too...

Apparently the windows and Mac version follow different development streams. Sounds a bit random to me!
