Is it possible to export a map from BaseCamp in .pdf format (or .jpg) so I can get in printed in large format?

Not directly, AFAIK, but there are two easy alternatives:

Print using a PDF printer driver (virtual printer)

    or, better still IMO:

Print to PDF through a screen capture utility. That way you select exactly what is to be printed, without the fluff.

Printing to PDF is much better than a screen capture. The printing utility in Basecamp provides much more detail and a better layout than what you see on the screen.

Maybe. To each his own, so 'much better' is always subjective, but for me the extra detail BC provides includes stuff I don't want to see in the PDF and a layout I'm not interested in.

I've tried both ways and found screen capture is best for getting exactly what I want.. And TechSmith's SnagIt program is one of the best for doing custom screen captures (and adding annotation) to the image...
