Is there a way to change the default waypoint symbol in BaseCamp?
In Mapsource I can select all the waypoints in a list and change all the waypoint symbols in one go. this isn't possible with BaseCamp, I can only change one at a time.
Thank you
But no way to change the default waypoint symbol, i.e. the one you get when you make a new waypoint, or import GPX files?
It is possible to change the default waypoint symbol (only for new waypoints, it doesn't change the existing ones. Also note that when the symbol is defined in a GPX file, that will be used instead of the default one).
Go to this page: http://www.javawa.nl/symbolen.html and choose the symbol you want. Click on it to download a batch file called "ViaSymbolSelector.cmd". Double click this file to run it, and type "w" to change the default waypoint symbol.
The page is in Dutch only, but using above instructions it is pretty straightforward.
...if it's possible to change the waypoint symbol when importing a GPX file from a third party software (TrackLogs)
Hi there. This is an old thread now, but It's one of the first ones that comes up in a search. If a route you import is full of flags do this. Convert the imported route back to a track, delete the imported route and then convert the track back to a route and the flags will have disappeared.
