Mac Spinning Wheel appears using BC library

Since Basecamp 4.5.0 do I have an issue when surfing through the library column.
By surfing I mean scrolling and clicking several maps and routes or tracks.
When doing so after a few clicks the Mac Spinning Wheel appears.
The only way to release BC again is waiting severals minutes or moving the mouse-pointer over the Mac Dock.

I already removed the Garmin files from the Saved Saved Application folder.
And I have removed Basecamp and re-installed it.
My Mac is running OS X Yosemite v10.10.4
And this issue appear on my iMac and MacBook retina.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Spinning Wheel...same problem

I am getting it frequently on both iMac and MacBook. Very inconvenient. I also saw that going to Force Quit restored function, but it is happening all the time, so a serious bug.

I do think I found the solution to this problem.
I emptied the folders application cache and local cache.

Actions:
End running applications on the Mac or Macbook.
Open finder and use keys Cmd - Shift - G

For local cache type: ~/Library/Caches
For Application cache type: /Library/Caches

Restart the Mac or Macbook.
Clearing cache files can not hurt because the applications create new ones if they are missing.

Is deleting the cache still working we have been on a trip and I have been afraid to give it a try. Where did Wurth go?

It worked for me.
Both on my iMac and the Macbook.
A friend of me had this problem and it worked for him too.

But unfortunately it seems to work temporarily. After we days the problem is back on my MacBook :(

But still you can gif it a try.
Deleting the files does no harm.

I should be getting back to BC fairly soon and carve off some time to look into this issue. I'm glad clearing the cache temporarily fixes the issue, but I don't understand why off hand. I'll let you know when I have something more concrete to offer....

Thank, we are on the 3rd week of RVing and after 4 to 6 clicks it starts spinning. Bring up the forced quit stops the spinning but click a few more times and it's back. The spinning seems to start after fewer clicks until BC crashes. In can usually bring up force quit 10-15 times befor crashing.

It appears you can do anything you want with the maps and not get the spinning wheel. 4-6 clicks in the object list (POI. Routes) brings it up

BaseCamp 4.5.2 will be released next week and will support El Capitan.

Mr Wurth, will this new release also solve the issue with the spinning wheel?

Unfortunately, no. I haven't been able to isolate the problem yet, so it's being targeted for a 4.6 release.
