BaseCamp 4.5.1 is Now Available

The latest release of BaseCamp, version 4.5.1 is now available.

The following is a list of changes:
  • Fixed issue with geocaches disappearing from the Colorado.
  • Fixed issue when sending geocaches to wearable devices.
  • Fixed issues with OpenStreetMap.
  • Fixed issue with BirdsEye imagery read failures while navigating map.
  • Fixed issue with Portuguese(Portugal) being the preferred language.
  • Various bug fixes.

    Crashes when Export GPX and Fenix-Tracks are not reduced

    And when i Upload Tracks to Fenix 3, the tracks will not be reduced. Fenix 3 has problems with tracks with many trackpoints..

    I am running 4.4.8 (on OSX 10.9.5).

    When I do "Check for Updates", BC tells me that it is uptodate, and no updates are available.

    I know I can manually install 4.5.1 from the link given here, but why doesn't BC see it yet?

    Perhaps the link for a new version goes live a while before BC gets to see it, to give the early adopters time to find issues?

    Sorry, but 4.5.x is only available on OS X 10.10 and above.

    thanks for the reply, but oh! that's a surprise...

    Is there any reason you're dropping support for 10.9.x? It's not even two years old yet, and 10.10 has sufficient irritations to make me reluctant to upgrade.

    I don't think any other app I use, at all, has yet dropped support for 10.9.x, from its latest versions...

    Are you running Fenix3 firmware 4.40?

    I'll look into the GPX export crashes next maintenance cycles. Is this happening for any track you export or just specific ones? Can you export the track as GDB instead of GPX?

    Just like version 4.5.0, this new version is unusable on El Capitan. Moving even one waypoint will cause Basecamp to crash.

    Perfect!

    BC 4.5.1 works perfectly on OS X 10.10.5, even displays maps (both, Garmin and OSM) from GPSMap 64s w/o crashing now.
    Installed it manually on three different machines. Former settings like units, custom toolbar etc. are reset though, but this is not necessarily a bad thing...

    P.S.: Trying to export a track results in crash: File > Export Selected User Data...
    P.P.S.: Upon reopen after a crash BC forgets the selected map and doesn't display its main window
    P.P.P.S: Delete database, fire up BC, select File > New List, rename new list to e.g. "Alps", then select File > Import Into My Collection...
    P.P.P.P.S: After rebooting the Mac everything works as expected (w/ original database)


    After updating to OS X 10.11 BC 4.5.1 works w/o issues

    Problem with copying Adventures to eTrex 20

    ok, I can now load BaseCamp without crashing, but
    I'm now having trouble with copying Adventures to eTrex 20.
    With BaseCamp, I created an Adventure, right-clicked and selected "Send to Device"
    It transfers successfully, and if I look at the device folder, Garmin->Adventures, I see the files.

    Now when I start the device I get "No Results Found Try Adjusting Search Parameters"
    And if I look at the Folder Garmin->Adventures, the file is gone (erased when I started the eTrex 20)

    Yes, FW 4.4.
    BC Crashes (sometimes) before I can choose wich formate i want to export.... And BC also crashes when I export an Oregon 650 track. And it crashes when i export a folder.

    Can anyone who is crashing while exporting data do a backup and host that file somewhere like DropBox? I've not been able to recreate the crash with my test data.
