  • Everyone,

Garmin has identified an issue with the firmware on Epix devices. There will be a release very soon of the 2.80 firmware for these devices and the issues that everyone has been having with this watch should be resolved.

We thank you for everyone's patience as we got to the bottom of our issue and things should be resolved hopefully very quickly.

More information can be found in this thread if you need help with your device: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?317678-BaseCamp-4-5-0-and-the-Epix

If there are any further questions, please contact Garmin Support at http://www.garmin.com/support or ask questions here and we will do our best to help anyone that may have questions.

    Thank you!

    BaseCamp crashes with eTrex 20
If I delete the GPX folder on the eTrex 20, BaseCamp will load once, but will crash when loaded again.
    Attached is the Crash report.
  • HI,

Basecamp on windows :- I plugged fenix 3 in and transferred way-points and a track file to the device, ejected the device and checked watch to find the track and the points on there. I then plugged the F3 back in and opened BaseCamp and then clicked on the F3 device to view contents only to find it come up as blank. i then disconnected again went into the watch to delete.

BaseCamp on Mac:- Item are showing up on the device within BaseCamp but i am unable to delete them. once deleted within BaseCamp and the watch is ejected the item simply remain in the watch. This has also caused one instance of the watch to lock up ( freeze ) on eject.

    Regards, Craig.

PS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us BaseCamp Mobile for F3 :)

Thank you for posting. It looks like we aren't handling your system language very well. Could you tell me what you have listed as your preferred languages. Open 'System Preferences' and look at 'Language & Region'.

You can try selecting a different language to see if that will help, but please let me know which language you are using so I can recreate and fix this. Thanks!

    EDIT

I fixed the issue in 4.5.1, so we won't crash anymore. However, BaseCamp doesn't support Portugues (Portugal). You'll need to use Portugues (Brasil) instead if possible.

    New 4.5.1 for Mac?

Hi, I have a Garmin BMW Nav 5
This is a custom unit made by Garmin for BMW motorcycles that has controls built into the hand grips.

I just checked for updates but my software said no OS updates available. I am running Version 4.2.4 (4.2.4). It is buggy and I find it difficult to use. It's crashed twice. I'm running a macbook pro with 10.10.3 OS

I did update the map for NA. The system crashed twice and told me I didn't have enough disk space on the device so I rebooted the Garmin and got the updated maps for NA.
    My questions are:
    1. How can I get the right update or 4.5.1 if that is it?
    2. How can I delete addresses that Basecamp has populated that I don't want?
    Thanks
    Rob
