How to close Search Results window?

In prior versions of BaseCamp, the results pane of a Search could be closed. I can't figure out how to do this with the most recent versions of BaseCamp -- 4.2.4 according to the crash reporter window that popped up when it crashed when I used the BaseCamp -> About BaseCamp menu item to try to find the version.

It takes up valuable screen real estate when I am not using the results, and I'd like to use that for a wider map view.

Semi-related, is there a way to download older versions of BaseCamp from Garmin? So far the latest version has been giving me many more problems, for no discernible gain in features that I use.

In the bottom left corner of the results window is a small binocular icon. Clicking this will close the window.

Thank you very much for the reply. Unfortunately I do not see the icon you describe. Is it present in this screenshot, but I am just overlooking it?

What version of BaseCamp? Have you tried the small arrow icon at the bottom of the window on the right?

4.2.4. Now here's the weird thing, I *swear* I tried that arrow in the box in the lower right before. A couple of times. It didn't hide the results window, but did something else peculiar instead. Unfortunately I can't remember what.

But *NOW* yes, that little button absolutely closes the results window. So apparently my question is answered, except for a lingering mystery of why it didn't work before. The latest versions of BaseCamp seem to behave a bit erratically for me.
