Basecamp is no longer able to see my eTrex 30 when it is connected by cable - the eTrex does not appear in Finder or in the "My Garmin Devices" window in Basecamp. Prior to not seeing the eTrex, Basecamp was taking 15 minutes to index the Garmin Topo on the device. This is a recent problem and may be associated with a cleanup of my system using "Cocktail" software. I am using OSX 10.10.4.
I have taken the following action:
*Updated the software on the Etrex and Basecamp
*Tried different cables and USB ports
*Reloaded an older version of Basecamp from a backup and then updated that version
*Run a thread on GPS Forums
Any help would be appreciated
