I have several waypoints that I am using for an upcoming hike. They can be placed and named as usual in Basecamp. However, if I zoom in or out the waypoints move as much as 1000 meters when I come back to the previous zoom level. (always east if that matters) I move them back to where they belong and then they move again. One is a trailhead and one is a lake so it is easy to tell that have moved. I recently switched to UTM on both Basecamp and my Garmin legend if that could be a cause. Any ideas and suggested fixes? Thanks
Update. Two hours after original post. All positions on maps with BaseCamp 4.4.8 are off by over 1000 meters for me. This is true using UTM or Lat/Long. To be more specific- I can look at my GPS device(or google earth) and read my position and then hold the cursor over my location on BaseCamp map and get reading that is off both E/W and N/S. After closer inspection on the BaseCamp map- all place labels are off by approx 1000 meters. All Labels are showing East of their true location. I cross checked with USGS 7.5 minutes maps and indeed the BaseCamp maps I am looking at are off. Time to revert to 4.4.6?
