Why is Basecamp using 3GB of memory?

Hi,

I paid £20 last night and downloaded a section of mapping using BirdsEye Imagery. Trouble is, Basecamp is now using 3GB of memory and the application is unusuable. The rendering of the map tiles when I zoom in and scroll is a joke.

Is there a fix for this issue or do I contact Garmin for a refund.

Is this BirdsEye Select mapping? If so its raster mapping so will blur if you zoom in too far.

It is birds eye select mapping. I seemed to have been able to reduce the memory requirements by deleting the map that you use to select the area you want to purchase. It's now down to 400mb
