Probably should get this out of the way first. New member, so I hope this is close to the correct forum for my questions. My apologies if it's not.
Been using a 765LT in the car for 5 years, just for local address locating. Decided I might want to take it on a cross country trip this summer. So, does it accept routes created externally? If not, then what follows below is moot.
Assuming it does, will it accept Basecamp routes if I download the software onto my iMac? I don't know, because the 765 seems to have an internal routing program that stores up to 10 routes with a lot of waypoints. Would that preclude the use of external routes?
If it does accept external routes, will Basecamp work, and if so, will it work if I haven't updated to the latest maps?
Any help you can offer this noob is appreciated.
