How can i convert a large poi file to gpx

Hi all
I am looking at how to convert a large Garmin POI file so it will show on basecamp ?
the file i want to convert is Michelin green guide .poi but it is to big i think for the online converters it is 297mb i think i need to convert it to .gpx format for it to show on basecamp so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Think we've covered this before? Simplest way is to place it on a usb stick, sd card or virtual drive in a folder named POI, that way Basecamp will read it and you'll see it listed when you click on Maps, Manage Custom POIs.

(Edit: Actually probably not since I've just remembered that Extra POI Editor not work on a mac?)

Thanks for the reply but although this has partly been covered before your suggestion is not working although i can do that with smaller files it won't do it with Michelin green guide i think it is because it is to large but i am not sure.

Ah OK. If there is a size limit I'm not aware of one, the Basecamp team may be able to advise.

The Michelin green guide file is almost certainly protected; in that case it can't be converted.

Never thought of that but if I have it unlocked on my sat nav then I would have thought it would be possible to at the very least be able to view it on basecamp.
