I am working on a mac. Yes I can drop a waypoint and then edit the position after. Its not what I was hoping for but its a work around I guess. I am working with the following format LAT/LON hddd.ddddd (S26.07602) for example with the WGS 84 datum.
The box will continue to say "Invalid Coordinates" until you have entered a valid set of coordinates so just keep entering your desired coordinates!!!
Assume you want to enter N45 W132
Until you have entered the "1" it will continue to say invalid coordinates. Immediately upon entering the "1" it will claim to have converted the coordinates to some number and the two boxes underneath will light up. As you enter the "3" and then the "2" the converted number will change.
When you open "Locate Coordinates", the box "Center at:" should display the current coordinates for the center of the map (at least on my PC). Do you run into the problem when you try to change/edit those coordinates?
There is no "Position Options" available in the "Locate Co-Ords" drop down in the Mac version. There is a "Position Format" setting in the preferences.
