Coordinates

Can you post the coordinates, they probably are invalid :)

It doesn't matter what I type in I keep getting the message "Invalid Coordinates"

Then you're typing in invalid coordinates. Are you entering lat/long? You need to ensure that you've selected the correct lat/long format.

Just provide one example so it can be checked, and say what lat/long format from the five available you've selected.

It doesn't matter what I enter - any letter (caps and lowercase) or any number I get the error message ?

Then give us one example so we can show you where you're going wrong, without one we've already said as much as we can say.

Ok on the Basecamp screen I have the following along the top: Basecamp, File, Transfer, Find, View etc, etc. I click on "FIND" and drop down to "LOCATE COORDINATES" A box pops up which says "ENTER COORDINATES" within this box bottom left it says "CREATE WAYPOINT AT" and on the bottom right it says "SHOW ON MAP" - Both of these are greyed out. In the "ENTER COORDINATES" box it doesn't matter what I type be it either one letter or one numeral I immediately get the error message ?

OK, it's becoming clearer now, I thought you were actually able to enter some detail. Do you see a line that says Position Options? Click on the arrow to the left of that line.

Select there the format you want, now what happens?

Where do I find the line "position options" ?

Well in Windows version it's under the box where you enter the coordinates, it may be different in the mac version. Incidentally have you tried just creating a waypoint, then opening waypoint properties and editing the position there (or on the mac version I think it's under an Advanced tab)? At least it would show you what coordinate format is currently chosen.
