Any reasons why BaseCamp for Mac does not allow to specify number of points when you create route from track?

On mac instruction just says: "Click Create Route from Track"
On Windows you can also "If necessary, deselect the "choose the number of points automatically" check box, and enter the maximum number of via points you want included in the route".
