Ascent and Descent value in route calculation

When I create a new route in Basecamp I was used to see the Ascent and Descent in the route calculation.
This was a good help to get an impression of the amount of climbing in the route, especially when driving with a trailer or caravan.
Since some time these ascent and descent values are not specified anymore.
In the settings or profiles I cannot find anything to enable the calculation of these values.
How can I get these values again in my calculations?
I am working with card “City Navigator Europe NTU 2015.3” with a navigator Dezl 560. I can’t remember but is it possible that I lost the function at installing a card update via Garmin Express?

Another related function I would like to have is a setting in the vehicle profile a maximum road percentage so that the calculation avoids to heavy hills. Now I use the setting minimize Ascent and I do (unfortunately in effect did) a visual guess in the screen route direction with the altitude/ascent /descent information.
I could not find such a setting. Is it available?
  • City Navigator maps don't have the relevant information, maybe before you were using a different map?

If you're using City Navigator it would be impossible to utilise your second point, even if such an option existed.

Thanks SUSSAMB. I will check with the supplier to see if the previous maps are still available.
