I can search for user data and drag the waypoint to a trip planner day to create route. I can't drag a route and get it to work. Is there a way to add a route to a trip planner day? Thanks
Is this new with 4.4.3? I've been dragging routes into trip planner in 4.3.5 with no issues.
How do you drag the routes into trip planner. I have been trying to drag onto an empty in trip planner. I get a blue line at the top of the day but nothing happen when I release the route. When I drag a waypoint, it starts or is added to the route.
It may be your workflow. I create all of my routes independently of TripPlanner. I then create a trip of X days using an arbitrary start and end point, and then delete the points in the first day leaving me with a totally empty trip of X day duration. I then drag my existing routes into the days I want to travel that route. I do this when the trip planner app is closed, but the trip, as shown in the left pane, is expanded to show the days.
Same workflow and I just tried it again. Waypoints work fine but routes light up the blue bar at the top of the day but disappear. Thanks for the reply.
That may be the difference. All of the routes I'm working with for any given project are in lists in the left pane. I almost never use the search function of BaseCamp, I find it too confusing. If I'm searching for POI I use MapSource, all of my many waypoints are categorized and I use smart lists to do broad searches.
