When I use the hand tool or the selector tool plus hold the Option key, I should be able to drag and drop a route to a new road. This works sometimes and does not work sometimes. Suggestions?
There is an issue with dragging routes when you hover over the point you are going to drop onto for more than a second. If you drag and drop fairly quickly, it works every time. That will be fixed in 4.4.6, but for now the work around isn't too painful...as long as you know about it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hovering has one (it _seems_ to do this with older Basecamp versions...) important feature: snap to road.
If new route point is not on road, at least my Zumo 660 will tell me that it cannot recalculate route while on the road.
MapSource did very good job on this, no issue ever. I guess I better install VMWare and Windows just to get MapSource back and do route planning with that!
