Hi,
I'm unable to solve this problem. Why BC on my mac (iMac OSX10.9.5 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5 4GB DDR3) doesn't visualize correctly the openMTBmaps and Velomaps? I tryed them on an old PC and they shine compared to my Mac.
Basically all the background is a yellowish color and the roads and tracks are all black lines. I am unable to load an image I don't know why it's not working, it doesn't accept the file even if is the correct format and only 299kb....

    Some of these 3:
    - Zoom in more
    - Use the more detail slider put it ro the right and zoom in more
    - Only basemap does show, in View menu swith to all maps

In windows this is called the ctrl-g key combination which toggles basemap only and all maps (my mac is somewhere else now).

Thank's, i tried, I already toggled the detail bar all the way to the right but I cannot find the "all maps" either in the Visualize menu or in the Maps one. Even zooming in all the way the roads do not display correctly. The max difference in between a yellow road, a withe one and a black line wich could be UCI, Track, Gxxxtrack.... So I really don't understand what's the matter with BC mac version. I don't think is a problem with my settings or my mac speed. I formatted it recently and didn't change a thing in BC.
I can't upload a picture here to show you...it start the upload process but at the end is doesn't complete it. Do you have any suggestion for that?
Thank you anyhow for your time and help.

I understood the problem. Depends on the layer we choose in the map.
There are several layers in the OSM or MTB or Velo maps and they are easily selectable with the windows version of BC.
In order to read the correct layer (level of detail/visualization mode) in the Mac world we need to do some different thing.
The problem arises because the files I was able to convert from the windows version using Gmapi Builder weren't the same as the ones on the MTBmaps site: http://openmtbmap.org/download/macosx/
So I had to donate the guy on the site and download his files wich work fine.
Follow this guide to understand what I'm talking about: http://openmtbmap.org/tutorials/install-maps-mac-osx/

Fell free to ask for any doubt or help.

Try using Javawa MapConvertor with openmtb maps. or any windows registery (old map style). Or use the Garmin MapConverter but then under windows.

Both create the gmap for you from old style maps. I thought i had a video how to do it with javawa MapConvertor on youtube, dont know if its in dutch or english.
