Cannot...."Create Route from Selected Track"

Ive on a dozen different tracks tried to create a route with the function "Create Route from Selected Track". It will start the conversion and about 90% done per the progress bar it will report "There was an error calculating this route"

How can I get this function to work? My alternative is to trace the tracks using the "new route" function.....very time consuming.

Any insights?

Can't be the DB. It's a functional issue. Even if I select an empty DB and Import a Track, BC will no longer create a Route as before.

I cannot create route from tracks, well, actually it says I can and it does it but only for a few meters even if my tracks are 6-7 Km long. So I tried with the same tracks on a Windows computer, it works fine. I created all my routes. So obviously, a major bug in the Mac software.

I had the same problem, and found from another forum that you must change your "activity" first from car, motorcycle, etc. to "direct" then it will work. Go to edit-options-then change the icon.

Thanks so much for that help!! It appears that in a recent update they have corrected that issue. Just before I tried your fix, I did a conversion and it worked. THere was a basecamp update a few days ago that must have found the bug. Thanks again!
