Which length is right which track names does BC uses.

Yesterday I went hiking with 2 GPS (Oregon 650 and Edge 1000) just to see how the 1000 works on the trail.
I downloaded a Trace from ConnectGarmin and load it on both devices.
Started both devices (Auto Pause was déactivated on the 1000)
At the end I compare the results.

On the 650 I recorded a 15.19km track.
Oregon 650 does not sync with GarminConnect (old or New) so I copy/past in BC it went from 15.19 to 14km (1616 points),
from BC I exported then upload to Connect ended with 13.96. Surprised by the discrepancies, I had a look into the 650 files and folder.
On the 650 I save in both FIT and GPX format, if I look at the recorded track in GPX format and display to BC I read 15.19km, if I check the Fit file it shows 14km, so why the difference between GPX file and Fit Files for the same track?
On the Edge side sync to Connect OK with 12.94km. Copy from Dev to BC shows 13.9km 2214 points. Why?

And for the same price:
When keeping history of past ride in BC I have the following situation:
My MAC is i french and the date format is dd/mm/yyyy.
In the EDGE 1000 the recorded track are always stored with names in yyyy-mm-dd-hh-mm-ss.fit (in the file track points are always stamped with the french format dd/mm/yyyy
Seen on BC is shows dd/mm/YYYY hh:mm:ss UTC.
Is there a way to keep track names from the device keeping history in yyyy/mm/dd makes sense.

On the Oregon 650 it is worth:
The fit files are stored like on the EDGE 1000 yyyy-mm-dd-hh-mm-ss.fit, while the gpx are stored as Tracé-www-mm-dd-hhmmss.gpx
On BC it shows as dd/mm/yyyy time stamp UTC when displaying fit file and yyyy/mm/dd time stamp when displaying gpx file. I do not figure out when it chooses to display fit and when it chooses GPX. The time stamp is slightly different from gpx to fit GPX is saved first.

I’ll will try to save only in GPX and hopefully I will get the yyyy/mm/dd format in my history.

History files are named and should not be affected system date format.

Your explanations/suggestions:confused: on that would be appreciated.

    I'am back,
Saving track history in GPX format does the trick, tracks appear in BC in YYYY/MM/DD format, but how to accomplish that with the FIT format imported from my EDGE? Should I use only Training Center, Trainging center hierarchy folder (Year/month/days) with last activity first is fine.
