Route avoiding certain surfaces

Hi everyone, first post here and a relative newcomer to Basecamp, my Montana 650T and all things Garmin... so please bear with me.

On the Montana I've got City Navigator, Recreational Map Europe and an Alps map I made from OSM

I've had a scan of the forum here and can't find an answer, although my question is almost the opposite of the sticky at the top of the page, How to create base camp MTB tracks on "paths"

Essentially, I'm planning a motorcycle trip for the beginning of September, down from the UK through France, to Italy and home again. We're riding "adventure" bikes so will be taking a variety of roads including "unsurfaced" gravel roads/passes over the Alps.

I've got the Montana and Basecamp in Dirt Bike mode and the OSM map active and, whilst drawing a route between a couple of places along what I know to be a gravel road, the routing is trying to take me along sections that are marked as Footpaths where there are also alternatives that are marked as Unpaved Roads. Naturally, I want to take the Unpaved Roads and stay legal (even though it's unlikely there'll be anyone around) and not ride along the footpaths.

So, the question is - can I set some kind of profile-specific global avoidance of footpaths? I'd assume that if I had the Montana in Driving mode then it would avoid footpaths as a matter of course?
