Category filter suggestion

Given that some of the newer Auto Group devices now use categories in the initial display on their SAVED page it would be very helpful to have a way of filtering the categories contained in Waypoints as they are being transferred to the device from Basecamp. This is especially important given the persistence of categories.

Along with this the ability to easily list, edit and otherwise manipulate categories on selected groups of waypoints in Basecamp would be helpful.

You can edit them easily now. If you want to change a number of them simply block select, open them and change/edit the categories in one hit. What you can't do, which may be useful, is somehow sort them according to categories.

Having done so when you transfer them they retain the category info, and also when you send them back. I've been tidying up the waypoints on my 2508 and the whole process works both ways.

This doesn't work if there's more than one category and not all of the waypoints have exactly the same categories. For example, a selection of waypoints containing the category, "Lodging" and some containing "Best Western" and "America" or "Europe" would return the value <multiple> in the relevant section of the properties window. No way to edit.

Yep, true ... thankfully I don't have too many of those, if you do though it's more difficult. However it's still a big step forward, just needs some further tweaking to be even better.
